India Post Launches 24-Hour & 48-Hour Guaranteed Delivery Services The Eastern Times

New Delhi, March 17, 2026:
In a major push to modernize India’s postal and logistics network, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, along with Minister of State Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, launched a new range of premium delivery services by India Post.

The newly introduced services—24 SpeedPost, 24 SpeedPost Parcel, and 48 SpeedPost—aim to offer fast, reliable, and time-bound delivery, competing directly with private courier companies.

What’s New?

  • 24 SpeedPost: Next-day (24-hour) delivery for urgent documents

  • 24 SpeedPost Parcel: Fast delivery of parcels within 24 hours

  • 48 SpeedPost: Guaranteed delivery within 2 days

Currently, these services are available across all PIN codes in six metro cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

  • OTP-based secure delivery

  • Real-time tracking with SMS updates

  • Priority handling for faster movement

  • Money-back guarantee if delivery is delayed

  • Available 7 days a week, including Sundays
