The World Air Quality Ranking 2025 has been released, highlighting growing concerns over air pollution across the globe.

According to the report, Pakistan is the most polluted country, while India ranks 6th, remaining among the worst-affected nations.

In a major concern for India:

  • Loni (Uttar Pradesh) has been named the most polluted city in the world, Delhi at 4th place.

This shows the serious level of pollution in Indian cities, especially in densely populated areas.

Who Released the Report

The report has been released by IQAir, a Swiss-based air quality technology company that publishes global air quality data every year.

Only Few Countries Have Clean Air

  • Out of 143 countries, only 13 countries meet WHO air quality standards
  • The cleanest air countries are: Australia, New Zealand, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Sweden, Norway, Grenada, Mauritius, Bahamas, Barbados, and Canada.
  • WHO safe limit for PM2.5: 5 µg/m³ annually

What the Report Says
