Trump Warns Iran of Massive U.S. Strike if Strait of Hormuz Oil Flow Is Blocked

U.S. President Donald J. Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran, saying the United States would respond with overwhelming force if Tehran attempts to block the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement posted on social media, Trump said that any move by Iran to disrupt oil shipments through the vital maritime route would lead to a severe military response from the United States.
He warned that Iran would be hit “twenty times harder” than previous strikes if it interferes with global oil supply in the strait.
Warning Over Oil Supply Route
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the most critical oil transit routes in the world. A significant portion of global crude oil exports passes through the narrow waterway connecting the Persian Gulf to international markets.
Trump emphasized that blocking the route would not only affect the United States but also many countries that depend heavily on energy shipments through the strait.
Threat of Further Strikes
In his statement, Trump said the United States could target key Iranian assets if tensions escalate further.
He claimed that such strikes would make it extremely difficult for Iran to rebuild its capabilities if it continues actions that threaten international energy supply.
At the same time, Trump said he hoped the situation would not escalate further and expressed a desire to avoid additional conflict.
Message to Global Energy Consumers
Trump also described the U.S. stance as a move aimed at protecting global oil supply chains. He noted that several countries, including major energy consumers, rely on the Strait of Hormuz for crude shipments.
He added that maintaining open shipping lanes in the region remains a priority for global stability and energy security.
The warning comes amid rising tensions in West Asia, where concerns over the security of oil routes have increased due to the ongoing regional conflict.
