Trump Says No Deal With Iran Without “Unconditional Surrender”

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has said there will be no agreement with Iran unless the country accepts “unconditional surrender.”

In a public statement, Trump made it clear that negotiations with Iran would only happen under that condition.

“There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER,” he said.

At the same time, Trump added that Iran could still have a strong future, ending his message with the phrase “Make Iran Great Again (MIGA).”

Background: Operation “Lion’s Roar”

The statement comes during a period of serious escalation in the Middle East following Operation Lion's Roar, a major military strike launched against targets inside Iran in late February 2026.

The operation involved coordinated attacks on several strategic and military locations across the country.

During the strikes, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed along with a number of senior officials.

Escalating Regional Tensions

The killing of Khamenei and the military action have sharply increased tensions across the Middle East.

In response, Iran launched missile and drone attacks against targets linked to the United States and its allies in the region.

The developments have raised concerns about a broader conflict, as diplomatic relations between Washington and Tehran remain extremely strained.

Analysts say Trump’s demand for “unconditional surrender” suggests that meaningful negotiations between the two countries may remain unlikely in the near future.
