Saudi Arabia Joins US Strikes as Middle East Conflict Escalates

Riyadh, July 29: Saudi Arabia has reportedly joined the United States in carrying out airstrikes against Iran-backed militias and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets inside Iraq, marking a major escalation in the ongoing Middle East conflict.

The reported strikes came after Iran rejected a peace proposal mediated by Oman over the Strait of Hormuz. Iran is also said to have launched attacks on US military bases in Jordan, raising fears that the conflict could spread across the region.

Saudi Arabia's entry into the conflict is seen as a significant development. The kingdom has one of the strongest air forces in the Middle East, with hundreds of modern fighter aircraft, including F-15 Strike Eagles and Eurofighter Typhoons.

Reports also suggest that other Gulf countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), are closely monitoring the situation and could increase their military readiness if tensions continue to rise.
