Russia Providing Intelligence Support to Iran: Report

Moscow: Russia has reportedly become indirectly involved in the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran by providing intelligence support to Tehran.
According to a report by The Washington Post, Russia is sharing information about U.S. military movements and positions with Iran. This intelligence is believed to help Iran plan and carry out attacks on American military facilities.
Attacks on U.S. Military Targets
During the conflict, Iran has launched several attacks on U.S. military bases in the Middle East.
Iran also reportedly carried out a missile strike on the U.S. warship USS Abraham Lincoln.
In another incident last Sunday, an Iranian drone attacked a U.S. military base in Kuwait, killing six American soldiers.
Reports suggest that Russia has been assisting Iran since the beginning of the war, raising concerns that another major global power may be indirectly involved in the conflict.
U.S. Response to the Report
Following the report by The Washington Post, both the CIA and the Pentagon declined to comment on the claims.

A White House spokesperson also refused to directly comment on the report. However, the spokesperson said that Iran’s power is weakening, adding that Iran’s retaliatory attacks are decreasing.
The spokesperson also claimed that Iran’s navy has been largely destroyed during the conflict.
China’s Position
Earlier, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that China and Russia were not directly involved in the war.
Although China has close relations with Iran, reports suggest that Beijing has not provided military support to Tehran during the conflict.
It is worth noting that during the Russia–Ukraine war, The Washington Post had reported that China, Iran, and North Korea were providing military assistance to Russia.
