The Middle East conflict has taken a dangerous turn. After the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran has pledged strong retaliation.

On the third day of the war, Iran launched missile strikes targeting key Israeli government sites, including the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Iran also claimed it targeted the Israeli Air Force headquarters.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed attacks on security and military centers in Tel Aviv and Haifa. However, Netanyahu was later seen publicly, signaling he was unharmed.

A day earlier, nine Israeli civilians were killed in an Iranian strike on Beit Shemesh. Netanyahu visited the area to review the situation.

Amid rising tensions, concerns have grown over the safety of nearly one crore Indians in the Gulf region. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly spoke with leaders of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia regarding the situation.

Attacks on Nuclear and Civilian Sites

Iran alleged that its nuclear facilities were targeted. Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it intercepted Iranian missiles and launched counterstrikes in Tehran.

Israel claimed it struck Gandhi Hospital in southern Tehran and a diplomatic police center.

According to reports, joint US–Israel strikes have killed 555 people in Iran and injured more than 700 in the past three days.

Lebanon Front Intensifies

Iran-backed Hezbollah launched rockets and drones at Israel from Lebanon.

In response, Israel carried out heavy strikes in southern Lebanon and Beirut. At least 31 people were killed and 149 injured.

First Indian Casualty Reported

Muscat:
An Indian crew member was killed after a Marshall Islands-flagged oil tanker was attacked by a drone boat in the Gulf of Oman.

The tanker had 21 crew members:

  • 16 Indians

  • 4 Bangladeshis

  • 1 Ukrainian

A fire broke out after the attack, but the remaining crew members were rescued safely.

No Talks With US

Following Khamenei’s death, Iran has taken a firm stand, refusing any negotiations with the United States.

Although US President Donald Trump signaled willingness for dialogue, Iran rejected the proposal.


Situation remains tense as the conflict spreads across multiple fronts in the Middle East.
