Israel Launches Heavy Strikes on Iran, Five Oil Facilities Destroyed

Tehran: The ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel has entered its second week, with intense attacks reported from both sides over the weekend.
On Saturday night and Sunday, heavy strikes were carried out across different parts of the Middle East. Israel launched strong attacks on Iran and Lebanon, while Iran continued its retaliatory strikes across several West Asian countries.
Rising Civilian Casualties in Lebanon
Israel has been carrying out airstrikes in Lebanon for the past week. According to reports, the attacks have resulted in 394 deaths, including 83 children.
On Sunday, Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon and the capital Beirut killed 12 people. Earlier, another Israeli attack on a hotel had killed four people.
Israeli Strikes Near Tehran
On Saturday night, Israel also carried out strikes near Tehran, targeting five oil facilities.
Reports say the attacks also hit a water purification plant, raising concerns about damage to critical infrastructure.
The war began on February 28, and Sunday marked the ninth day of the conflict.
There were also claims that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) had attacked Iran’s water purification plant. However, UAE officials have denied these reports.
So far, the war has caused 1,230 deaths in Iran, while six American soldiers have also lost their lives during the conflict.
Explosion Sinks UAE Tugboat in Strait of Hormuz
In another development, a UAE-flagged tugboat named “Musaffa 2” sank in the Strait of Hormuz after an explosion.
Authorities said three Indonesian sailors who were on board the vessel are currently missing.
Meanwhile, Bahrain claimed on Sunday that Iran’s water purification facility was targeted in a drone attack, adding another layer of tension to the already volatile situation in the region.
As the conflict intensifies, fears are growing that the war could expand further across the Middle East, increasing instability in the region.
