Iran Sets 3 Conditions to End War with US and Israel

Tehran: Iran has laid out three key conditions to end the ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel, which has now entered its 13th day. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran remains committed to regional peace but insisted the fighting will stop only if certain demands are met.

Iran’s Three Conditions

In an official statement, President Pezeshkian said Iran is ready to halt hostilities if the following conditions are fulfilled:

  1. Recognition of Iran’s Rights: Iran wants international acknowledgment of its sovereignty and legal rights.

  2. Reparations for War Damage: Tehran is demanding financial compensation for the damage caused since the conflict began on February 28, 2026.

  3. Security Guarantees: Iran is seeking firm international assurances to prevent future military attacks on its territory.

Conflict Enters 13th Day

The war began on February 28 after joint strikes by the United States and Israel targeted Iranian positions. According to Iranian authorities, the attacks also killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Following his death, his son Mojtaba Khamenei was appointed as the new Supreme Leader, a move seen as continuing Iran’s hardline stance.

Iranian officials say the conflict has caused heavy civilian losses. More than 1,300 civilians have reportedly been killed and about 17,000 people injured. State media also claims that over 16,000 homes and several medical facilities have been damaged in the fighting.

Iran’s Military Response

Iran’s military, particularly the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), says it has launched the 40th wave of “Operation True Promise-4.” The operation reportedly used Ghadr, Emad, and Fattah missiles against Israeli targets and US military bases in the region.

Global Impact

The conflict is also affecting global energy markets. Rising tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, a key oil shipping route, and attacks on oil tankers have disrupted supply chains. As a result, global crude oil prices have surged above $100 per barrel.

International Response

Iran has held diplomatic discussions with leaders from Russia and Pakistan. Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council recently passed a resolution condemning Iranian strikes on Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Jordan. The vote passed 13–0, with Russia and China abstaining.

At the same time, US President Donald Trump said the military campaign is “ahead of schedule,” while Iran maintains that it is prepared for a prolonged conflict if necessary.
