Sambalpur University has suspended Assistant Professor Saroj Sahu following allegations of misconduct involving a PhD student from the MBA department.
The student had accused her research guide of inappropriate behavior, after which the university’s Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) conducted a detailed inquiry. Based on the findings and recommendations of the ICC, the university authorities decided to place the assistant professor under suspension.
During the suspension period, Saroj Sahu has been relieved of all academic and administrative duties. He has also been barred from associating with any other institution. His official place of duty has been fixed at the Postgraduate Council Office.

The suspension order further restricts him from entering the university’s administrative building or any postgraduate departments. He will not be allowed to visit the Bhubaneswar Behera Central Library without prior permission and cannot leave the headquarters without approval from the authorities.
