Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday launched the “AmaSathi” WhatsApp chatbot and inaugurated 57 new Sub-Registrar offices, aiming to make revenue services simpler and more accessible for citizens.
The Chief Minister said the guiding principle of the people’s government is that the government must reach the people, with all services available at citizens’ fingertips.

After opening the new offices, Sub-Registrar offices are now available in all 317 tehsils of Odisha. This includes 56 tehsils that did not have these offices earlier, and one extra office in Cuttack.
Over the past year, the state government has carried out major reforms in registration services to improve efficiency, transparency, and faster delivery.
The AmaSathi app now provides 11 key revenue services, including:
Caste certificate
Legal heir certificate
Residence certificate
Mutation cases
Conversion cases

To avail these services, citizens can simply send a message to the official AmaSathi WhatsApp number: 9437 292000.

A special state-wide campaign has also been launched across all tehsils to facilitate inheritance-based changes in land patta records, helping farmers and beneficiaries access various government welfare schemes.
He said the move will enable land and property-related services to be completed more easily, quickly, and efficiently at nearby tehsils, reducing delays and procedural hurdles.
“This is not merely an administrative reform, but a dedicated effort to free citizens from the hardship of long-distance travel and financial burden,” the Chief Minister said, adding that the initiative will make essential services accessible anytime and anywhere, even from home.
