1. V.D Satheesan takes oath as CM of Kerala
Following a landslide victory in the 2026 assembly elections, Congress leader V.D. Satheesan was sworn in as the 13th Chief Minister of Kerala, effectively ending a decade of Left Democratic Front (LDF) rule in the state.
2. All charges of Adani Group has dropped by US Justice department permanently.
The US Department of Justice permanently dropped all criminal securities and wire fraud charges against Gautam and Sagar Adani. The New York case was dismissed with prejudice after prosecutors decided not to devote further resources to the matter.
3. BCCI out of RTI, cannot be classified as public authority
The Central Information Commission ruled that the BCCI is not a public authority under the RTI Act. As a private, autonomous body not substantially financed or controlled by the government, it cannot be compelled to disclose information.
4. Westbengal to stop religious schemes, earlier govt was giving 2500 to imams and 1000 to Hindu priests.
The newly formed West Bengal government announced the complete discontinuation of religion-based stipends for imams and priests. Moving toward strict secular governance, the administration will redirect these public funds entirely into merit-based educational scholarships for all students.

5. Pakistan sent 8000 Army, Aircraft to Saudi Arab.
Under a long-standing bilateral defense and security pact, Pakistan deployed approximately 8,000 army personnel to Saudi Arabia. The troops are primarily tasked with training, advisory roles, and providing internal security assistance to the Kingdom.

Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman warned that rapid advancements in generative AI and autonomous agents could replace a significant portion of white-collar office jobs within 18 months, urging industries to prepare for immediate corporate workforce shifts.

NHAI to develop state’s first ‘bee corridor’ in Sambalpur, Dhenkanal & Ganjam dists.The project includes plantation of species such as Neem, Karanj, Arjun, Kadamba, Jamun, Tamarind and Kanchan in a continuous belt and will bloom throughout the years.
