Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd (TACO) has announced its decision to acquire an 80% stake in Artifex Interior Systems Ltd, a subsidiary of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Group, for an undisclosed amount. Following the acquisition, Artifex, which reported a revenue of GBP 296 million in FY25, will officially become a part of the TACO family.
Expanding in Europe
TACO is buying this majority stake from Jaguar Land Rover Ventures Ltd, a company under JLR Automotive Plc, which is itself owned by Tata Motors Ltd. This move makes TACO stronger as one of India’s top auto parts makers and expands its presence in Europe. It also makes TACO a bigger supplier for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.
Growing and Innovating
Arvind Goel, Vice Chairman of Tata AutoComp Systems, said this purchase helps TACO grow internationally and improve its expertise in car interiors. He added that Artifex’s strong production skills and trusted customer relationships will help TACO offer better products and expand its business.
Benefits of the Deal
Tata AutoComp is already known worldwide for making car parts, and with Artifex’s modern designs and technology, it can build even better interiors for vehicles. This deal strengthens TACO’s connections with major car brands like Jaguar Land Rover, BMW Mini, Bentley, INEOS, and Toyota, especially in Europe.
Future Plans
By working together, TACO and Artifex aim to improve car interiors with high-quality products. The deal will help both companies make more advanced and stylish designs while improving their overall efficiency and competitiveness.
This acquisition is another big step for Tata AutoComp as it continues to grow in the global auto industry.
