The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) has enabled the hiring of over 1 million manpower resources by government organizations in the 2024-25 fiscal year, as per the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
GeM provides a digital platform for government buyers to outsource manpower seamlessly. Over 33,000 service providers offer skilled and unskilled workers, including security personnel, data entry operators, horticulture staff, and facility management professionals. The platform ensures compliance with labor laws and simplifies the hiring process.

GeM serves all states and union territories in India, ensuring that government buyers can access goods and services from any location while ensuring strict labor compliance through a Service Level Agreement (SLA).Since it’s a cloud-based platform, it can be accessed from anywhere in India, making procurement seamless for buyers and sellers across the country.
